Full refund if you cancel 72hrs or more in advance. Less than 72hrs is a 50% refund.
Inclement Weather – If we must cancel a class due to weather, we will reschedule the class.
In order to get the most out of bike class, please have the following equipment prepared and ready to go on day one. Especially for kids, having everything ready to go is essential!
Bring bike; helmet; water bottle; snack.
Wear comfortable sports clothing, suitable for the weather. Shoes that lace up and fit comfortably are essential. Forget the flip-flops, sandals, and crocs, please! Make sure the helmet fits comfortably, especially with long hair in a ponytail.
Bike preparation 101 –
Fit – With the seat at its lowest position, your child should be able to sit with her feet placed firmly on the ground. Have training wheels removed before class. If you are an adult, please be sure your feet can comfortably touch the ground.
Note: We do not recommend buying a bike that your child can “grow into”. For a beginner bike, it is much easier to learn to ride a bike that is slightly small, than too large. We can help you select the appropriate size bike for your child, just let us know if you need advice. (We will let you know if there is a problem with the bike size or mechanical function.)
Where to buy a new bike: We strongly recommend buying a bike from a local bike store, where it has been properly assembled, and where you can go for maintenance and repairs. Some bike stores offer trade-up programs.
If you currently have a bike, please have it inspected for properly working brakes & gears, properly inflated tires, etc.
Where appropriate, please label your bike and belongs with your name, etc.
Thank you!
